Directions EMEA 2020 Awards

Last year in Vienna, we launched the Directions EMEA Awards to honour partners who've done something extraordinary in our beloved Dynamics Community and wanted to share that with you for inspiration. Another year has gone by and although it has been a challenging one, we still would like to take the opportunity to recognise partners for their innovative technical solutions and their creative commercial approach. 

There are great prizes to win, but most important this is an opportunity for you (or your colleagues) to get onto the Directions EMEA stage during the keynote to share your story. 

For Directions EMEA 2020 we will have 2 categories:

 

This prize goes the best story about a commercial success within the Dynamic 365 Business Central channel.
The story should not be about the “biggest” impact in terms of numbers, i.e. onboarding the biggest client or selling most licenses. It is more about creativity, embracing new opportunities and adding business value through new business ideas.

With this award the “Panel” wants to encourage and award creativity and “thinking outside the box” in the Dynamics 365 Business Central channel given that we are in the biggest transformation this channel has seen in a decade. An environment like this causes a lot of disturbance and those partners who manage to ride of the storm most successfully are often the ones who move forward, turn challenges into opportunities and make their own success story. We want to identify and share these success stories from across EMEA and let the world know how some of you have come out of the storm in a better place with a new business model, a new market opportunity, or new revenue stream never imagined.

Nomination requirements:

• The story must include 3 parts:

o Idea – and expected goals (What did we hope to achieve?)
o Development/execution (How did we do it?)
o Results please (What did we achieve?)


• The story must have a measurable commercial impact within Dynamics 365 Business Central (new markets entered, higher market share, new revenue streams, better ROI)

o Title
o Target Audience
o Timing


Short Examples:
• We took our existing IP and made a few adjustments, which made it suitable for a new market and landed 10 new customers in 3 months.
• We went online with 3 migrations packages and got 8 Business Central cloud customers in 2 months
• We packaged Office 365, Business Central and a project management module and targeted the consulting business very specifically. This resulted in xyz
• We created a new business, only focusing on small cloud customers. This has grown 20% in year 1 and fed our consulting business with project at 10% growth too.

The Winner of this category is a pioneer, who is doing something today, that most partners will strive to be doing tomorrow.

  • Utilizing new technology to achieve business results and/or end user productivity.
  • Integration between products/services to achieve greater value and achieve 1+1 > 2
