Take Advantage of Serendipity

These days, we all struggle to attract and retain talent. Recruiting strategies are often limited to job postings on social media or job portals. But what is the difference between a successful strategy and one that is not performing well?

Recently, there have been lots of discussions on whether success is rather the result of analyzing trends and data or if serendipity might be the factor increasing the chances of success. To lift recruiting efforts beyond job postings and ads, knk has tried an approach of creating serendipity to use ideas and impulses resulting from these occasions of meeting and talking in person.
This session will give insights on:
- Defining the basis: Defining key brand values with support of an agency
- Increase diversity and give young talents insights into the industry: Girls Day
- Off the beaten track: Try something new – 'Kräftehack' bringing together companies, students, professionals across different industries for a special Hackathon. This project was a cooperation with the media company "Kieler Nachrichten"

Bio: Julia Redner has been a member of the Microsoft community for almost 15 years. She started her career at knk with a dual study of business administration (Bachelor of Science) at the FH Nordakademie. After graduating, she took over the development of the current marketing department of the internationally operation knk Group. Together with her team, she is responsible for marketing and communication for all product lines of the knk Group: knkPublishing based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, knk365 for Media Sales based on Dynamics 365 for Sales, knk365 Marketing Automation based on Dynamics 365 for Marketing, and VM Media Manager. In addition to product marketing, she and her team are also responsible for the employer branding of the knk Group.
